Apply for a UK Start Up Business Visa
The UK Start Up visa has recently been introduced and is for you if you wish to start your own business in the UK. If your business idea is newm Innovative, & Viable Start Up is the right visa for you.
If you have a new business idea which is different from existing businesses in the UK and is scalable your business idea will need to be endorsed by one of the endorsing bodies which are approved by the UKVI, list can be obtained from Home Office’s website, upon endorsement you will be eligible to apply for Start Up Visa. Having a business plan to demonstrate your business idea is helpful as it shows you have planned how your business should work out and what steps you intend to take to make it successful.
The initial visa is issued for 2 years and is not extendable, the business will have to perform well and create jobs in the UK.
Dependants can apply for visas along with the main applicant.
Applicants can apply from outside the UK or, if they hold appropriate immigration leave, from within the UK.
Requirements for Start Up Business Visa
The applicant will need to meet certain requirements to obtain a Start Up Visa.
- Be 18 or over
- Have a Business idea which is new, Innovative & Viable
- Get endorsement from the endorsing body
- Have sufficient funds to start a business and maintain yourself in the UK
- Meet English language requirement of B2 level unless exempted
The earliest you can apply is 3 months before you plan to travel. The processing time for the visa is 3 weeks.
